Roody's sweater: A work in progress

You might remember that I already made this sweater, for Roxy, back in the day.  And now here I go again: making a sweater for a dawg. Again, this is something I used to frown upon: dogs in sweaters.  But now, here I go, becoming a lover of sight hounds, who are skinny and in need of said covering.

Luckily Roody is a fantastic sport. I swear that you could dress this dog and he wouldn't mind.  Socks and an apron if that's your fancy. He'll wear them all day.

That being said, after this trying-on session, I learned that most of the sweater-in-progress needed to be unraveled and adjusted.  His neck is long, long, long and and his chest is deep and wide. Alas, this is what happens when you knit like crazy on a road trip without examining the dog in the process.

In other news, I think the color is perfect for him.  It's called Squirrel Heather.
